Ebola Response
An inter-governmental organization was challenged to address an expanding Ebola epidemic in West Africa, specifically coordinating the response for an evolving and growing crisis from the headquarters. Gray Ghost supported the client in building an effective operations center with supporting processes from the ground up. We sent hand-picked consultants into West Africa to work with client employees at the forefront of the epidemic as well as to the headquarters.
Gray Ghost’s close collaboration with the client at every level enabled us to create simple and effective mechanisms that ensured seamless information exchange from the crisis epicenter to strategic decision-makers in Europe. Leadership was able to mitigate the crisis by prioritizing efforts in the response, synchronize resources, personnel, material, and share timely information.
Government Planning
Gray Ghost was contracted to assist a foreign government client with developing a multi-organizational disaster exercise. The Gray Ghost team worked with senior leadership to define the scope and then designed the exercise.
Gray Ghost designed a training plan to prepare the organizations, organizational equipment, individual medical personnel, and establish a communications plan. G2 also meshed the exercise with the training objectives of the supporting hospital. During the exercise, G2 coached the security services, fire brigade, responding medical personnel, and the supporting hospital during their mass casualty event
Campus Planning
Gray Ghost developed an all hazards business continuity plan for a 7000-student college campus. The team identified the likelihood and impact of risks to the enterprise. G2 collaborated with senior leadership and department directors to identify safety and essential operational functions during any disrupting event.
G2 also developed a simple, intuitive playbook for senior leaders to make effective decisions during prolonged and acute crisis response. The plan was successfully executed during an active shooter event with no loss of life or interruption of essential functions.
Arctic Island Medical Planning & Support
Gray Ghost Solutions created a medical support plan for an event on a remote arctic island. The event involved medium-risk transport, employment, and operation of sensitive equipment and personnel for up to three weeks in semi-austere conditions.
Gray Ghost evaluated risks to the client’s event (including international political considerations), existing infrastructure on the island, distances, and external support requirements to create a viable plan that included contingency support from four locations in two countries.
